I have accepted their generous invitation, and will be speaking on the topics of eBooks, POD Printing and Book Cover Design.
I will give one-hour demonstration and presentations on POD Printing, a “how-to” session that covers what authors need to know in setting up a print book project and delivering the “print-ready” files to a printer such as CreateSpace, Lulu, or Lightning Source. This session will be given on both Saturday and Sunday during the event.
I will also give a one-hour demonstration and presentation on Book Cover Design, which will cover basic concepts, tools and techniques, along with the strategy of what a book cover should contain. This session will also be held on both Saturday and Sunday during the event.
My final topic is eBook Formatting and Design, and this will be a two-hour session which will address the basics of eBooks – what they are, how they work, how to publish them, followed by a demonstration of basic eBook formatting tools and techniques and how to produce a quality eBook that will work across multiple devices. This session will also be available on both Saturday and Sunday.
Frankenmuth looks like a beautiful place, and I’m anxious to spend some time there. The Bavarian Inn, where the event will be held looks to be equally wonderful. I look forward to spending the weekend with authors and publishing business pros, and hope to learn as much as I can while I’m there.
If you can make to Frankenmuth, Michigan, please consider taking advantage of this opportunity to learn from industry professionals and other authors, and make the trip. It should prove to be a great, informative weekend in a fabulous and unique location. Check it out, and I hope to see you there!
My personal thanks to all involved the event, and I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the Green Pen Writer’s Conference!
